In short
AutoST tests automotive Ethernet in two engines. DoIP (ISO 13400) carries UDS over IP: AutoST performs vehicle discovery over UDP, handles routing activation and then runs the transport-generic UDS enumeration over the link, so sessions, services, DIDs and SecurityAccess are all reachable. SOME/IP support does passive service discovery and active FindService, mapping services, methods and eventgroups and their endpoints, and scoring the exposure.

One model, every transport
The UDS tests you know, over IP
Because the UDS engine is transport-generic, moving an ECU from CAN to DoIP does not mean starting over. Enumeration, DID scanning and SecurityAccess all run the same way across the IP link.
SOME/IP discovery shows what services and methods an ECU offers on the network, which is often more than anyone intended, and feeds the findings into the same fix plan as everything else.

Can AutoST run full UDS tests over DoIP?
Yes. The UDS engine is transport-generic, so enumeration, DID and routine scanning and SecurityAccess all run over a DoIP link, not just over CAN.
What does the SOME/IP engine do?
It discovers SOME/IP services passively and with active FindService, maps services, methods and eventgroups to their endpoints and scores the exposure.
